STOCKHOLM APARTMENT IN SHADES OF GREY

Lately, my blog posts have tended to be a bit more moody than usual but this is such a tranquil and calming Stockholm apartment in shades of grey that I just had to continue with my mini-theme. Built in 1909, this charming apartment has retained much of its original features. The wooden flooring, ceramic stove and high wall trim add to the charm. The palette of the apartment is varying shades of grey punctuated with black details such as the photographs, some furniture, the faucet and the light fixtures. Nature is brought in with the use of wood, greenery, and leather which helps create a warm and cosy atmosphere. Textiles are also important as a softening agent; from the linen bed clothes to the sheep's skins and blankets on the sofa, all these textures help to give character and dimension. I really love the simplicity that comes with the varying tones of muted grey. How about you?
