Sometimes it's hard not to go overboard when decorating for Christmas. I love the subtle Scandinavian approach to getting the home ready for the season. The home of Danish photographer Tia Borgsmidt  is ready for Christmas. Tia styles her home for the season with a simple and subtle approach.  I'm really inspired by the little touches throughout the home. The small trees on the bathroom cabinet, the larch branches with small decorations in the vase from House Doctor and the Royal Copenhagen bear figurine in the kitchen all create a cosy mood for the season, not just the holiday. I am particularly in love with the perfectly imperfect Christmas tree. Tia explains that she prefers her tree to be crooked and disheveled. I also think it's more charming that way. I know I will be taking cues from Tia's home when decorating my own home. How about you? I would love to hear how you decorate for the holidays. Do you strictly follow traditions or do you shake things up a bit each year?
